After learning I needed cataract surgery on my left eye, I visited and called several different eye doctors. I also spent hours on the internet doing research, which wasn’t easy considering my poor eyesight at the time. Finally, I chose Austin Eye for my multifocal lens implant for three reasons: (1) They used a laser procedure which I believed would be more precise, (2) They were reasonably priced (and actually a bit less expensive than anywhere else I could find with the same technology) and (3) Dr. Shannon Wong and the rest of the staff made me feel extremely comfortable by taking time to answer all my questions. On the morning of surgery, I was understandably a bit nervous; however, as I would soon learn, I had nothing to worry about. The procedure was quick and painless, and the results were amazing. By evening, I could see perfectly. Although I was born with poor eyesight, I no longer need to wear glasses. Everything is brighter and clearer, and I can finally drive at night without any problems. The only downside to the surgery has been that I can now see the dirty spots in my house that I had previously overlooked, and I’ve spent the last several weeks on a cleaning binge! I’d like to personally thank the surgical nurses who were outstanding — friendly and kind. I remember one of them gently holding my head still and whispering details of the procedure into my ear which was very comforting. I would also like to compliment Dr. Shannon Wong on being not only professional and knowledgeable but also friendly and taking time with his patients. Best money I ever spent!

I was very pleased with my experience with Austin Eye. I had worn glasses since I was 15 years old. Over the years I have had many pairs of glasses. About two years ago I was informed I had cataracts. My vision changed very fast over the span of time and I had to have something done. A friend of mine had used Dr. Shannon Wong several years ago for vision correction and was very pleased. I called and made the initial appointment and am so glad I made the decision to have the works done. Dr. Wong removed my cataracts and corrected my vision all at the same time. I waited two weeks between each eye procedure but so happy with the results.

Dr. Shannon Wong delivers on his promises…both eyes done and everything is so much better! Glasses are a thing of the past and I am so glad. The office staff is so fabulous, I don’t think I can adequately describe it…they are always upbeat and helpful.

My experience with Dr. Mitchell Wong and his marvelous staff exceeded my every expectation. Amazingly, in my eighth decade, I have discarded my glasses, and I am able to read the newspaper, phone books, prescription bottles, and other small print that I avoided prior to my cataract surgery. For over twenty-five years I consulted with banks, insurance companies, law firms and other professional organizations on how to provide customer-focused quality service. Now, I would simply tell them to go visit Austin Eye and see how all organizations should treat their clients.
