Scleral Lenses Fitting Details
Scleral lenses are highly personalized contact lenses fit on irregular corneas. Scleral lenses completely vault the corneal surface and land on the sclera. When fit properly, scleral lenses are very comfortable. The average size of a scleral lens ranges from 15mm to 20mm. Depending on the complexity of the fitting, the process can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
