I’ve been farsighted w/astigmatism all my life – in 2001 at age 46 and with a strong, bifocal prescription, Dr. Mitchel Wong did lasik surgery on my eyes and I could hardly believe how improved my vision became! and no more glasses. Several years later, I noticed blurriness from beginning cataracts. Now in 2014 at age 59, I just had Lasik Cataract surgery (with Crystalens) in both eyes and it’s WONDERFUL all over again! I’m amazed at how much I wasn’t seeing before. It’s been one week post-op and I’m reading & driving at night – and everything in between – with no corrective glasses or contacts. This may not last forever, but I’ll thoroughly enjoy my great, carefree vision as long as it does. Thank you, Dr. Wong!

My mother was having a hard time seeing all of a sudden, so we reached out to Austin Eye Care and Dr Marie Bui was able to give her an immediate consultation. She then scheduled my mother an appointment the FOLLOWING morning to perform a laser procedure. After the procedure, I couldn’t stop hearing about how great Dr Bui was and how my mother can see clearer than she has in years! Dr Bui thank you for all you have done, the care and the professionalism you put in your duties. I can definitely see that this is more then just a job to you and we appreciate it very much .

Utilizing the latest technology and techniques Dr. Shannon Wong masterfully performed my iLASIK procedure. He is one cool and down to earth doctor, who genuinely cares about his patients. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results, and the staff at Austin Eye are top notch! Thank you for the the superb treatment I received! I had laser cataract surgery combined with Lasik. I have had very poor eyesight since childhood and have been told in the past I was not a candidate for surgery due to a severe astigmatism. Dr. Shannon Wong was very realistic in his explanation of my chances of success, so I was pleasantly surprised to find at the end of a virtually painless procedure that for the first time I could see clearly without the need of corrective lenses. This surgery has been a life-changer for me. Dr. Wong’s staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable with the procedure and in advising what to expect. This is a caring group of people and Dr. Wong is the best. If you are having vision issues or want to explore Lasik, these are the people to see. I highly recommend Dr. Wong and his staff!

As senior citizens moving to Austin my wife and I needed to establish new professional relationships to replace the fine doctors, dentists, lawyers, etc. we left in Houston. We feel fortunate that TV ads and word of mouth recommendations from friends and neighbors led us to Austin Eye. Recently I had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Shannon Wong. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. My distance vision is much better than I ever anticipated and I no longer need to wear glasses for driving, TV or on the golf course. The facilities, doctors, caregivers and administrative staff at Austin Eye are the finest we have ever experienced. It is a pleasure to write this review of our outstanding experiences at Austin Eye.
