Dr Odette and Catie where awesome and very attentive to my needs. Dr. Odette actually recommended that we not do the lens replacement at this time since my vision is still pretty good. When I mentioned my battle with sports and sweat covered glasses he offered an alternate solution in Lasik. All the information provided is easy to review and understand. I would highly recommend folks see them for any surgical eye needs.

More eye tests than I’ve ever had in my life (for cataract surgery)! Dr. Odette was very knowledgeable and has lots of experience with RK patients. I’m hoping to get my right eye cataract surgery with him, as my FL eye doc didn’t have much experience with RK patients. Dr. Odette put me at ease. Edit— Scheduled cataract surgery for late July, booked my flight to Austin and took out my contacts for the required 6 weeks. Found out Odette would be out of town, so had to change to Dr. Shannon Wong. When the day came for my preliminary exam before the surgery with Dr. Shannon, he looked at my test results and explained very thoroughly that my right eye was “complicated.” He said my astigmatism was “6” and the lenses available only corrected up to “3” and I would probably have to wear my scleral contacts after the surgery anyway. He explained he could also do PRK six weeks after my cataract surgery but it would be a long process with several PRK procedures six weeks apart, and no guarantee I would be contact free. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge, and in the end, opted not to get the surgery at this time. I hope in the near future some new lenses will become available to correct more than up to “3.” I can’t vouch for his skills at surgery, but he explained my eye problem better than any other doctor I’ve ever seen, and I’m 67!
