Dr. Bui was the surgeon at Austin Eye who removed my cataracts and replaced my natural lenses with the Symfony Intraocular Lens. It has been two years since this procedure and I want to express how completely happy I am with the results. At first I noticed halo affects around lights at night along with some dry eyes that made some things at a distance appear a bit blurry. Within 6 months the dry eyes and blurry distance vision cleared up completely and there was no longer any need to for eye drops to help with that. By the end of my first year, the halo affects around lights at night had improved significantly and now, two years later, I hardly ever notice it all. Again, I am so completely happy with my decision to select the Symfony IOLs and would recommend Austin Eye to anyone.
I came in with an injury related cataract in my right eye that was causing multiple issues, vision @ 20/400. After visiting with other surgeons I chose Dr Shannon Wong to perform laser cataract surgery. He was confident he could implant the new PanOptix toric IOL when others told me my surgery was too difficult or my cataract too dense to risk implanting the Symphony lens and they didn’t give me the option of the PanOptix. My surgery was painless and quick, the staff was excellent, and now my vision is 20/20 at distance, great at intermediate, and 20/25 up close. This procedure changed my whole world. I highly recommend Austin Eye.
