I had not been to have my eyes checked in years because eye exams make me very anxious. The few times I have been in recent years have been unpleasant experiences. I needed to have my eyes checked because of some vision changes so decided to try Austin Eye after a recommendation from a friend. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well the appointment went. The atmosphere in the office helped me to feel relaxed and at ease. The person who conducted the initial exam was wonderful and very understanding and respectful of my anxiety. Dr. Deese was the same but also encouraged me to finish a difficult part of the exam, and I got through it. It was definitely the best and most comfortable eye exam I have ever had, and I will return for future check ups.
