My appointment at the Austin Eye practice was a positive experience. The office is very well organized, and everybody is friendly and supportive. I was especially impressed with the Ophthalmic Technician, Ms. Kelley Lopez, who performed all preliminary tests to be presented to Dr. Medert. She also followed up via email after my visit. Dr. Medert was professional but also affable in his interaction with me. He explained the test results quite clearly and offered practical solutions which made it easier for me to decide on my treatment options.

I appreciated the thoroughness of the medical assistant who collected detailed information about my vision concerns prior to meeting with Dr. Medert. Once Dr. Medert arrived he was very patient in explaining what was the root cause of my eye sight issue, and walked me through -4- potential options allowing me to pick the direction I wanted to try. I appreciated his patience as I didn’t feel rushed into making a decision immediately in the moment. I also appreciated the fact one option involved using my own blood through a local lab to create a serum to potentially address my eye issues which seemed like a very progressive approach.
