As someone who has had MANY eye surgeries (most because of a terrible fall I had almost a quarter-century ago, I probably know as many eye surgeons as most GPs do). I chose to see Dr. C. Maxwell Medert because I knew 3 other residents at the senior facility where I live who had seen him and were very impressed with him. So, when I continued having eye issues following the latest surgery, I decided to check him out myself. I appreciated the time and full attention he gave to my unusual situation. What impressed me most was his frankness. Basically having more surgeries wasn’t at all likely to fix my issues, but I should continue having annual checkups. And, guess what: He DIDN’T do a “sales job” (none of this, “Come back and see ME”)! I highly recommend him! (BTW, the close-up of the eye I’m using now as my profile picture is just my way of being silly… nothing to do with the quality of Dr. Medert’s ability). 😉
